Netflix: Daughters of Destiny
The Netflix docuseries, "Daughters of Destiny" directed by Vanessa Roth, chronicles the lives of five aspiring students from impoverished families in India. Our animated trailer visualizes a heartfelt poem written by one of its main characters, Preetha. To convey her powerful words, we drew from its dreamlike message and landscape, choosing watercolors to paint our characters and sets. Each detail of Preetha's poem was hand-painted and animated using traditional stop motion techniques, creating a delicate experience. Find our behind-the-scenes work below.
